About Us
The Davron Hotel is a family-run hotel, bar and restaurant in the centre of Rosehearty — a small coastal village in Aberdeenshire where community still matters.
David and Sharon Watt have owned and run the Davron Hotel since 2012. When they took over the building — then known as The Bay Hotel — it was in need of significant work. Over the years, it has been carefully refurbished and improved, with the focus kept on comfort, good food and a welcoming atmosphere rather than anything flashy.
The building itself dates back to around 1898 and was once one of three pubs serving the village. Today, it is the last remaining pub in Rosehearty — a role the Davron is proud to continue for both locals and visitors.
David runs the kitchen, where the emphasis is on honest, well-cooked food done properly. Sharon looks after the restaurant and front of house, ensuring guests are welcomed and well cared for. While very much a family business, the Davron is also supported by a dedicated team whose hard work keeps everything running smoothly.
From the bar and kitchen to housekeeping and service, the staff at the Davron Hotel take real pride in what they do. Their consistency, reliability and care for guests are a big part of what keeps people coming back, and their dedication is truly appreciated.
The public bar remains popular with locals, the restaurant serves both residents and visitors throughout the year, and the hotel’s eight en-suite bedrooms offer a comfortable and straightforward place to stay in the area.
The Davron Hotel is built on doing things properly — valuing people, respecting its place in the village, and offering a dependable welcome in the heart of Rosehearty.
