COVID 19 Policy

Restaurant (Indoors)

  • Opening Times
    • Breakfast
      • Monday to Friday 7am to 9am
      • Saturday and Sunday 8am to 10am
    • Lunch
      • 12pm to 2pm
    • Evening
      • 4pm to 8pm
  • Bookings
    • We are only accepting bookings in advance to ensure we can firstly accommodate the table and secondly for comply with all track and trace rules
    • Bookings can be made by calling the Davron on 01346 571976 or by messaging the Davron Facebook page @TheDavronHotel
    • Any cancellations should be made at the earliest possible convenience.  With limited seating it’s important that we get the chance to re-book the table
  • Tables
    • Maximum tables of 4 from 2 households
      • Guidelines are 6 people from 2 households however we cannot accommodate the table sizes required to comply with social distancing so have taken the decision to reduce that to 4 people from 2 households
    • Larger bookings can accommodated while following all social distancing guidelines
  • Distancing
    • 1 metre zone throughout the Restaurant
    • Single Households
      • No social distancing required
    • Multiple Households
      • 1 Metre distancing from household to household
    • Guests will be asked to maintain any distancing measures put in place for their table – no moving chairs or tables
  • Capacity
    • All government guidelines and rules will be adhered to in relation to maximum capacity
      • Due to the distancing and fluidity of bookings our maximum capacity indoors is approximetly 60 people
      • Our maximum capacity will be limited during key times to ensure all guidance is being followed
  • One Way System
    • Our restaurant will be posted with a “safe flow” system, guests must follow the floor markings when heading or leaving their tables
    • Guests should only leave their table when using toilet facilities or leaving the building
  • Track and Trace
    • All guests must provide contact details to comply with track and trace laws
    • Guest details will be held for 21 days, as required by law then destroyed – no information will be held or used by the Davron Hotel
  • Service and Payment
    • No alcohol will be served indoors
    • Table service only, customers should not approach the bar area unless they are about to settle their tables bill
    • Customers will be encouraged to use contactless card payment where possible
  • Masks
    • All guests are required to wear masks when not seated, while seated they can remove masks
    • Guests exempt from wearing masks must make staff aware when entering the building
    • Masks will be on sale at the bar area
  • Sanitisation
    • Sanitisation points will be situated throughout the building, guests will be asked by staff to sanitise hands at key points throughout
    • Customers should use the hand sanitiser as frequent and as often as they wish
  • Toilets
    • Toilets are operating a simple one in one out system, all guests will be asked to follow this.
      • Should a queue form we have additional toilets located towards the public bar which we will make available
  • Cleaning
    • Additional cleaning and disinfecting procedures are in place throughout the restaurant
  • Noise and Music
    • Following a risk assessment, music is permitted within the restaurant
      • The volume will be capped to a certain level
    • Guests should not sing, shout or raise their voices
  • COVID Safety
    • Any customers, guests or family of customers and guests are feeling symptomatic of COVID-19 – specifically: a high fever, difficultly breathing, new or persistent cough, low or change in taste or smell; we ask that remain at home and contact the relevant health authorities

 

Beer Garden (Outdoors)

  • Opening Times
    • Monday to Sunday 12pm to 8pm
  • Bookings
    • We are only accepting bookings in advance to ensure we can firstly accommodate the table and secondly for comply with all track and trace rules
    • Bookings can be made by calling the Davron on 01346 571976 or by messaging the Davron Facebook page @TheDavronHotel
    • Any cancellations should be made at the earliest possible convenience

    • Alcohol is permitted to be served outdoors
      • Guests should be reminded to drink responsibly and all licensing laws will be followed strictly
    • Table service only, customers should not enter the restaurant/bar area unless they are about to settle their tables bill
    • Menus will be available digitally by scanning the QR codes on every table – should guests require a physical menu a server will get one
    • Customers will be encouraged settle bills with cash where possible
      • Entry to the restaurant/bar area will be permitted to settle bills with card payments
        • Guests will be encouraged to use contactless payment where possible
  • Masks
    • All guests are not required to wear masks when not seated as they are in an open area
      • We would still encourage the use of masks when getting up from their tables, but this is not a requirement
    • All guests must wear masks when entering the building – for use of the toilet facilities and when settling bills
    • Guests exempt from wearing masks must make staff aware when entering the building
    • Masks will be on sale at the bar area
  • Sanitisation
    • Sanitisation points will be situated throughout the exterior of building, guests will be asked by staff to sanitise hands at key points throughout
    • Customers should use the hand sanitiser as frequent and as often as they wish
  • Toilets
    • Toilets are operating a simple one in one out system, all guests will be asked to follow this

    • Singing, shouting and chanting is not permitted
    • Guests should also be considerate of our neighbours when in the beer garden

Takeaways

  • Opening Times
    • Monday to Sunday 4pm to 8pm (Collections and deliveries)
  • Customers can now collect takeaways indoors
    • Collections can be made at the main hotel door at the front of the building
    • Customers entering to collect takeaways must wear a mask (unless medically exempt)
    • Customers must sign our track and trace log book
    • Customers must sanitise hands upon entry to the building
    • Only one customer is permitted to enter to collect a takeaway
    • Customers may be asked to take a seat and wait, while the takeaway is being packaged
    • We ask that customers only enter the building to collect a takeaway at the specified time
  • Orders
    • Must be placed in advance by calling the Davron Hotel on 01346 571976 or by messaging the Davon Facebook page @TheDavronHotel

Public Bar (Indoors)

  • Closed for the moment with a prospective opening date of Monday 17th May 2021

 

Hotel

  • Open to all bookings – leisure and business guests
  • Checking In
    • Guests should check in at the main hotel door at the front of the building
      • We may on some days ask guests to check in via the restaurant door (past the beer garden at the left of the building), this will be sign posted clearly on the hotel door
    • Guest will be required to wear a face mask when entering the building to check in
      • Guests exempt from wearing masks must make staff aware when entering the building
      • Masks will be on sale should any guest need them
    • Guests will be shown up to their room by a member of staff
      • Staff are not permitted to enter the guests room unless for maintenance or cleaning (as required)
  • Distancing
    • All areas of the hotel are marked as a 1 meter distancing zone
  • Food and Drink Service
    • Breakfast (Indoor Breakfast Room)
      • Monday to Friday 7am to 9am (No alcohol)
      • Saturday and Sunday 8am to 10am (No alcohol)
    • Lunch (Indoor Restaurant)
      • 12pm to 2pm (No alcohol)
    • Evening (Indoor Restaurant)
      • 4pm to 8pm (No alcohol)
    •  Beer Garden
      • 12pm to 8pm (Alcohol permitted)
  • Room Service
    • Guests can request room service for food and drink
      • Alcohol can be served to guests as part of their room service
  • Housekeeping
    • Guests can request additional housekeeping services – additional towels, tea, coffee etc should they be required
    • Housekeepers will not enter the room to clean until vacant
    • For stays of more than one night, housekeeping staff will clean rooms at the guests request to avoid additional traffic in the guests room
  • COVID Safety
    • Any customers, guests or family of customers and guests are feeling symptomatic of COVID-19 – specifically: a high fever, difficultly breathing, new or persistent cough, low or change in taste or smell; we ask that remain at home and contact the relevant health authorities
    • Becoming ill during your stay
      • It is vital that you make staff aware if you start experiencing symptoms of COVID-19
      • We will ask you to remain in your room and contact a member of via telephone – call us on 01346 571976
      • If you are fit enough to travel home we will ask you to leave the hotel immediately
      • If you have no means to travel home or are unbale safely to do so, we will ask you to self-isolate in your room.  NHS Scotland will be contacted on your behalf and steps taken on their advice

 

Staff

  • Policies
    • Hygiene policies have been updated in line with all government guidelines and staff have been trained on key touch points, personal and hand hygiene
  • Staffing
    • Before returning to work all staff must declare themselves fit for work and fill in a short disclaimer to assure that they haven’t been in contact with COVID positive households/individuals and that they themselves are symptom free
    • Staff will also sign a daily health log to ensure they aren’t displaying any symptoms of COVID
    • All staff will work similar rotations where possible to ensure less mixed contact
    • Staffing levels have also been reduced where possible to limit numbers
    • Staff breaks will be staggered to allow for social distancing to be observed
    • Administrative staff will (where possible) work from home
  • Hand Hygiene
    • All staff have been retraining on the importance of good hand hygiene.  Handwashing before, during and after shifts for a minimum of 20 seconds using warm water and an antibacterial soap
    • All staff will also be equipped with a wearable hand sanitiser attached to their belt/waist/apron to ensure they are (in addition to regular handwashing) sanatising their hands regularly
  • PPE and Uniforms
    • It is mandatory that all staff wear the appropriate PPE during their shift.  Staff will be wearing masks inside and outside to prevent removal of masks while exiting the building for the beer garden
    • Kitchen staff are exempt from wearing a face mask (as per the government guidelines) due to the heat levels that may occur in the kitchen – however as always a clinically high level of cleanliness is observed to ensure standards are met
    • All staff will wear clean uniforms daily
  • Physical Distancing
    • All team members will follow the current guidelines and where possible will maintain 1 metre distance.  Any training or meetings will also be held at a distance or virtually where possible
  • Risk Assessments
    • Risk assessments will be update on a regular basis.  All members of staff will be trained and briefed on any changes made on a as and when basis

 

Cleaning and Hygiene

  • Our cleaning standards and practices have been extended through the hotel and all its departments to ensure cleanliness and hygiene is at a clinical level
  • High traffic areas and frequent contact points such as door handles etc will be cleaned with vastly increased frequency
  • Hotel Rooms
    • Are cleaned and disinfected thoroughly after each use
    • All towels and linen replaced and cleaned after each departure (whether used or not)
    • All room amenities like kettles, cups, spoons etc will be removed and cleaned after each departure (whether used or not)
    • For longer stay guests, housekeeping can clean their room at the occupants discretion.  Should you with not to have your room cleaned during your stay over place make a member of staff aware.  And fresh linen can be delivered upon request
      • Should you wish your room to be cleaned during your stayover, staff will only clean your room when vacant opening all windows to increase ventilation while wearing the relevant PPE to ensure highest standards are met
  • Public areas (Restaurant/Reception/Beer Garden)
    • All tables and seats will be fully disinfected with industry standard chemicals after every use
    • All menus, salt and pepper pots and menu stands will be fully disinfected after every use
  • Toilets
    • Toilets will be cleaned at regular and frequent intervals, staff will check note each clean on a cleaning schedule

 

Control Measures

  • All Davron staff will be doing their utmost to ensure all standards are met across the board in every area of each department
  • Managerial checks will be made daily and frequently throughout the day
  • Risk assessments will be updated as and when needed
